F4EHA – Jean-Michel

My name is Jean Michel HUART and I am 60 years old. I started amateur radio in 1987 as SWL. I passed the F0EHA license in September 2003, then the large F4EHA license on my 53rd birthday in July 2013. I am active in SSB only, and have confirmed 329 DXCC and 1039 US counties as SWL. To date I have 240 confirmed DXCC stories. I am equipped with an Icom 7400 transceiver, a Yeasu FT 840 and a Cubical Quad 2 elements from 10 to 20m. On 40m I am using a Hi gain 14AVQ and I also have a 40 / 80m Kelemen dipole. I also practice 6m with my Cubical Quad.  I am on 2m only with friends from my department 72. I love DX’ing and enjoy receiving paper QSL cards via desktop or direct. I participate in national and international competitions (ARRL 10m, WPX, Coupe du REF…). My QTH is a small village located 15 miles north-east of Le Mans.
